Carrie LeZotte is a seasoned producer, director and communications professional with corporate, educational, political and non-profit production expertise.
Recent work includes the re-election campaign for Mayor Mike Duggan, the documentary film Lean, Mean & Green and early childhood content supporting the State of Michigan, on behalf of Detroit Pubic Television, the Detroit PBS affiliate. She founded the non-for profit One of Us Films while attending Michigan State University and OICmovies.com, while managing video communications for Comerica Bank.
In 2009, LeZotte was honored with a Vanguard Award, given by Detroit Young Professionals, an award that celebrates innovators and changemakers who have distinguished themselves through professional leadership and service. Under her leadership in 2010, One of Us Films received a Voice for Victims award for their work on the animated film, "Daisy Tells a Secret," a safety video for children about body ownership.
Her Emmy recognition includes three nominations and one award, for Excellent News! In 2014, "Factory to Fish Farm," a short cut from Lean, Mean & Green, won 2nd place in the international IBM People for Smarter Cities video contest.
